Mitchells Chartered
Accountants comprise of a team of three qualified and one part-qualified
Chartered Accountants supported by accounting technicians, tax technicians,
farm secretaries and administration staff with primarily agricultural
interests and backgrounds. Although Agriculture is our specialism, we are
able to offer a comprehensive accountancy service to all sizes and types of
enterprise.
David
Mitchell, BA (Hons), FCA
Educated at Wellington School, Somerset until 1976. Graduated from
Birmingham in 1979 in Accounting and Finance and qualified as a Chartered
Accountant in April 1983. Joined the Practice in 1984 and became a Fellow of
the Institute of Chartered Accountants in September 1993. A Member of the
Institute Taxation and Auditing Faculties. Founder of Mitchells Chartered
Accountants as an independent agricultural practice in 1996. David is a
farmer's son and has direct personal experience of the agricultural sector
as he is also managing partner of his family's mixed farming business.
Samantha Vigus, FCA
Samantha
is a farmer's daughter from a well known East Anglian farming family.
Educated in Hertfordshire until 1989. Samantha joined the practice in May
1994 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in November 1994. She is a
Member of the Institute Audit Faculty. As a Partner Sam is particularly
involved with the Practice's corporate clients. Sam became a Fellow of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants in December 2004
John Trump, BSc (Hons)
Educated at Wellington
School, Somerset until 1984. Graduated from Reading University in 1988 with
a 2.1 B.Sc. Hons in Agriculture. John joined the Practice in 1989 and
trained as a Chartered Accountant until 1994. As an Associate he has a wide
experience of all aspects of the practice services.
